"There is a very good padel level in Russia." Barrera — after reaching the semifinals of "Moscow 2026"

Marta De La Fuente Barrera and Hana Montes reached the semifinals of the Moscow 2026 International Padel Tournament. After the match, the Spaniards noted that their rivals had noticeably improved during the meeting.

"At the beginning of the match, their level was lower, but as the game progressed, it was clear that they were playing better," Montez said.

Barrera separately noted Padel's progress in Russia: "I always say that there is a very good padel level in Russia. And it's always growing." The Spaniards also praised the organization of the tournament and recalled the atmosphere of last year's final. The pair may face the Russians in the semifinals.

"I think the strongest competitors from Russia will really compete with us. We are preparing for them," Barrera said.

The Spanish women also have favorites in the men's draw. Montes singled out the duo of Tito Allemandie and Agustina Torre: "For us, they are the favorites of the men's tournament."
