The third annual International Padel Tournament "Moscow 2026" was held in Luzhniki Stadium from October 20 to 25. The competition brought together 120 athletes from eight countries – Russia, Spain, Italy, Argentina, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Belarus. The geography of the participants has become the widest in the history of the tournament. The event was organized by the Padel Federation of Russia with the support of the Moscow Department of Sports.

For the first time, Irina Viner's Palace became the main arena of the tournament. The leading Russian players and world leaders met on the central court. Among the participants are three–time world champion and winner of the first two editions of the Moscow tournament Adrian "Tito" Allemandi, finalist of the Moscow 2025 Agustin Torre, Spaniard Ignacio Sager, who rose to 34th place in the world ranking, finalist of last year's tournament and silver medalist of the European Games Marta Barrera, member of the Argentine national team for the upcoming World Cup Julieta Bidaorria, 18-year-old Spaniard Hana Montes Cabruja, ranked 34th in the world, as well as FIP tournament winner Marta Talavan, ranked in the top 30 of the world ranking.

The winners of the women's tournament were the Spaniards Marta Barrera and Hana Montes Cabruja. In the final, they beat the Russian-Spanish pair Daria Kucheryavaya / Marta Talavan – 6:2, 6:3. Thus, a year after losing in the final, Marta Barrera still won the title in Moscow. In 2025, she and Jimena Velasco lost a decisive match to Russian Ksenia Sharifova and her partner Marta Borrero.

Tito Allemandie and Agustin Torre became the champions of the men's tournament, defeating Christian Gutierrez and Ignacio Sagera in three sets in the decisive match. — 6:4, 4:6, 6:2. For Allemandie, this title became the third in history – he won all editions of Moscow, and all three times with different teammates.

The historical result of the Russian players

This time, many Russian players played in the main tournament. All attention was focused on the two leading pairs of the Russian padel – Artem Matus and Eric Tomaidis for men, and Vilena Petrova and Vlada Kutuzova for women. It was Vlada and Vilena who managed to reach the semifinals and rewrite the history of the Moscow International Tournament, becoming the first fully Russian duo to make it this far. As a result, Petrova/Kutuzova won the match for 3rd place against Ekaterina Nikitina and Jimena Sol Perez and climbed to the podium.

Artyom Matus and Erik Tomaidis also competed to reach the men's semifinals. And they even managed to impose a fight on the first seeds, Christian Gutierrez and Ignacio Sager. But we lost in three sets with the score 4:6, 6:4, 1:6.
It is also worth noting the silver of Daria Kucheryava, who competed in the tournament with Spaniard Marta Talavan. For Curly, silver was the continuation of a powerful season: earlier in 2026, she won three FIP international ranking tournaments.

The main sensation of the Moscow 2026 International Tournament took place in the women's draw. It was presented by Anastasia Sergienko and Maria Sysoeva. Already in the first round, they knocked out the third seeds, Julieta Bidaorria and Daria Ovsyannikova. After losing the opening game, the Russian pair turned the tide of the meeting and won in three sets. – 4:6, 7:5, 6:4. However, Sergiyenko is trying to build on his success./Sysoeva failed, losing in the quarterfinals to Ekaterina Nikitina and Jimena Sol Perez.

The first media padel show and the first industry forum

For the first time in the history of the Moscow International Tournament, the sports program was supplemented by a media panel show. Olympic hockey champion Ilya Kovalchuk and rap artist OBLADAET took to the court. The exhibition match was held in the ProAm format: the leaders of the men's Russian padel, Artem Matus and Eric Tomaidis, played together with the invited participants. In addition to the match, the participants competed in precision strikes challenges.

Ilya Kovalchuk and Artyom Matus became the winners of the one-set show match, beating the OBLADAET pair./Tomaidis won the tie-break 7-6.

The first industry forum for padel market participants, the Russian Padel Summit, was also held on the sidelines of the Moscow 2026 International Tournament on Wednesday, October 21. He brought together more than 500 expert investors and padel club managers from more than 30 regions of the country, manufacturers and distributors of padel courts and equipment players, IT and padel software specialists, professional players, coaches, as well as partners and sponsors investing in the industry.

Within the framework of the Summit, in particular, a new Study of the Padel market for 2026 was presented, and the creation of the Padel Club Association was announced, designed to bring together club owners and managers to coordinate efforts to regulate the market.

– This year, the Moscow 2026 International Tournament will be remembered by fans not only for the record geography of participants, but also for the excellent performance of Russian players. It's nice to see how the level of domestic padel is growing against the background of top foreign athletes. In addition, all participants noted the high level of organization and the amazing venue at the Irina Viner Palace, where the main matches of the tournament were held," said Alexei Zolotarev, President of the Padel Federation of Russia.
– The third annual International Padel Tournament "Moscow 2026" turned out to be really lively and spectacular. There were many intense matches and their bright outcomes. The tournament has once again confirmed its high status in the international Padel community. Congratulations to the winners and prize-winners of the competition, to all who enjoyed the game and became better at their skills. We should also be happy for our athletes, who had the opportunity to test themselves at the games at a high level and gain invaluable experience. I hope that next year the tournament will bring together even more participants from different countries. I would like to mention separately the first Russian Padel Summit – it has become an important platform for a professional conversation about the industry. Of course, this tournament is important for the development of padel in the capital, contributes to the growth of interest in this sport and the introduction of Muscovites to a beautiful and exciting game," said Alexander Gorbenko, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
