Hi all. This is First and Red. This is Ana Chakvitadz. And this is the fourth episode of our Travel Show. We are now in the Melbumursky Reserve, where we will get to know kualas, wombats and kangaroos up close. After that, let's go cheer for Diana Schneider and talk to her a little about the most intimate things. near an area where there are a lot of kangaroos. Let's find out what you know about this unique Australian animal. Well, of course, yes, I am a big fan of flora and fauna, but let's try. Jump up to 9 m, speed up to 70 km/h. True or false? Well, that's probably true. Is it true. Kangaroos remember routes better than people and use the same paths for years , passing them on to their offspring. So, by inheritance. No, it's a lie, I think it's a lie. Every kangaroo has a favorite paw, just like people have a dominant hand. And this affects the jump stele, I think. Yes, maybe. No, that's a lie. Are you kidding me? They, yes. Oh, my paws. They jump from two legs. We'll know. The tail is the fifth leg. They really rely on it. They rely on it, in my opinion. Yes, it's true. One of the early Australian Open mascots was inspired by a real kangaroo that lived near the first courts and regularly ran out to the players. Well, that might be the case in theory. We are in Australia after all. No, that's not true. Well, to the players, yes, it’s unlikely that he would run away, of course. A mother kangaroo can pause her pregnancy this way if there is a drought around. The most well-thought-out contract in nature is obtained. Listen, well, in theory, I wouldn't be surprised. This is true. Wow. Well, and the last thing. True or false? During the Australian Open, kangaroos around Melbourne become more active as they react to stadium noise. The vibrations are similar to flock signals. Well, I don't know. I think they are more passive. No, that's a lie. Well, we guessed almost everything, in principle, we will get good knowledge about Kindura. Well, you see, this is what hidden talents are called. Anya, who did you like more: the Koala or the Tasmanian devil? Oh, the Koala is certainly cute and fluffy, but I choose the Tasmanian devil. You know, when I played in Howarth, I saw him for the first time in the reserve, I really liked him. Dear viewers, you must definitely listen to the roar of the Tasmanian devil. Tennis players, when they get angry, they also growl like that. They beat the mouth . How cute you are! Oh, how cute you are. Well , you see, they are sleepy today. It's very hot today. Tennis players have to play at 32°. Animals hide in the shadows. And the children came and tried to feed him, but he didn’t react at all. Let's take him with us. He's so cool. Well, dear friends, we've finally found Wombat, Dari Kosatkina's favorite Australian animal. Wombet has a good appetite today, apparently. Dian, hi. Judging by your Instagram, you had a busy preseason. Tell us what you worked on with your coach? Well, actually, a lot of things. I won't go into too much detail. Well, of course, we worked on our two- handed shots, our backend shots, our serve, our reception, basically, on all aspects, but in some moments we focused more on specific goals that we would like to achieve and see results in next season. Interestingly, our other ambassador Sasha Bublik said that I would rather play for 15 years and be ranked 30th than play for seven and be ranked fifth. Somehow I either agree with him or not. What a very tricky, insidious question, actually. I never thought about it , considering why he was only in fifth place for 7 years . That is, then he simply ended his career, or there was an injury, or, well, something happened, or then he simply, well, probably fell in the rankings there, I don’t know. But he continued to play. But if there are no injuries or mutilations, then it’s probably 7 years old in the fifth year rather than 15 years old in the thirtieth. Bright, but fast. A lot of players on the tour say that Australia is the best member, the best tournament on the tour. Is this so, in your opinion? Yes, I agree with that. What I also like most here is the conditions created for the players. Everything is quite convenient, compact, and the organization is very good and they do everything to make sure that the players feel comfortable. You recently played a semi-final against the world in Adelaide. This, in my opinion, is your first game in such a big, yes, tournament against the world. You played in pairs. Oh, and Mira said she was very nervous before this match. And how did it go for you? Were you nervous? Well, in general, I’m always, in principle, nervous before all matches. It’s clear that I was more worried because it would be our first match, and after we had played the whole season together as a pair. That's why it was something new for us, and in this regard, it was something to experience emotionally. Ah, but overall, I wouldn’t say that there was something really terrible. Overall, I am happy with how I played the match and how the whole atmosphere was during the match. That is, it seems to me that, all the same, when we hit a chord, all this fades into the background. And, well, it seems that both the world and I, it seems, have one goal: to win. And, well, we are trying to accomplish this task . Speaking again about Mira, the grid may cross you again in the fourth circle. I don’t know if you discussed this, maybe after Abdulaid you communicated, uh, was there some kind of contact and discussion? Ah, well, we didn’t discuss it with Miro. We watched the grid together with Sasha, and, as you can imagine, we discussed it with the coach just a little bit , because we are still going from circle to circle. And now we have only one task: first, to win the first round, win it there, and only then think about the next step and consider other opponents, because, well, you never know what can unfold, what can happen, because after all, this is such a sport, anything is possible, any miracle can happen, so we will go from the first day to the second and so on. We just wanted to ask about your goals. Still, the main goal is Australia. What would be the minimum and maximum you would like to achieve in the upcoming tournament? Well, that's clear. I think it’s always bad to set any kind of standards for yourself, because it creates more pressure. But overall, the way I started the season, the way I feel now, the way I’m playing, and, probably, at a minimum, I would like to get to the second week, and, well, and some, well, the maximum, probably, to win. Why not? But probably many of your fans want to see helmets regularly in the second week. In your opinion, what do you need to improve in order to be there more often? faith in my abilities, confidence that I, in principle, am worthy of being in the second week, and, probably, less of some kind of negativity in my head about myself. Are you working on this somehow? Because it is obvious, yes, that such tournaments are a huge stress for the player. How do you try to cope with it ? Ah, well, Sasha and I talk a lot about this topic. This will be only our second helmet together, the first one this year after a joint pre-season, so, well, I’m very interested. But he knows and understands everything perfectly well, so we try to work on it, improve it and somehow pay less attention to it and only focus on positive emotions. Well, you've been with us for quite a long time now, yes, you said, actually, your collaboration with Sasha continues , the second helmet. And it seems, at least from the outside, that you have found a common language on the same wavelength, is that true ? And, perhaps, you would like to understand what strengths you like in him as a coach and as a person. Ah, yes, in fact, we connected well, plus, as it were, anti-climactic, we spent quite a lot of time together. Overall, I guess as a coach, I really like that he always gives me feedback, especially when I need it. That is, he is always on the court, he always seems to see what I need to say at a certain moment, and where I need support, where I need to suggest a little more tactics, and there are a lot of things we work on. That is, I can already see the results of what we worked on during the pre-season; I can already see these improvements. And for me this is one of the main factors. And, probably, as a person, I’m just, in principle, comfortable that we have such an easy, funny connection, such a vibe. That is, we laugh all the time during training, we never have sad faces there, that is, we go out and just have fun at every training session. And I get great pleasure from working together both at matches when I play and at training sessions. I mean, well, I just, ah, lately I just really enjoy going out, playing and training. Very cool. Sasha Bublik, uh, he said about his coach Artem Suprunov, yes, he is a coach, but outside the court, he is also my friend , which is important, yes, we can discuss certain things. It seems, at least from the outside, that you and Sasha have developed a good connection and, uh, well, relatively speaking, communication does not end at the training port. He tries to support you, uh, be with you, well, in a human connection, right? No, we don’t, we generally always seem to communicate together and laugh, and joke, and discuss everything we can, and collect gossip, as it were. So, well, well, indeed, the connection is very good and we feel each other well both on and off the court, so everything is going very well so far , and I hope that it will only get better and better. So, we returned to the stadium. Today we'll be rooting for Diana Schneider, and then we'll show you what tennis fans can do here at Australia Nobsk. Oh, it's finally time for lunch. Australia is famous for its beef. Now we'll go and try it to see if it's really that good. One cheesebger. One chicken par burger. So, we spent $71 on Aussie chicken, Aussie beef and an Aussie burger. I think I'll choose beef. M. It is not without reason that Australian beef is valued all over the world , dear friends. Well, at least it's definitely better than a New York hot dog. Now I'll show you how Australian fans cool down. It's very hot today, 32°. The organizers installed special fans here for tennis fans. Oh, phew, much better. The price of this cap is 40 Australian dollars . This is a koala. How do you like it? Let's see what's on offer for logo t-shirts. 55. 55. So, what else is there? This is a kangaroo. And a pink version. They say that you need to drink 2 liters of water a day. You can pour not only water here, but also a cocktail. And we have Diana Schneider's match ahead of us. Maybe we'll take it with us. Although, I don't think it will be necessary. She must win today. Cuckoo. We will be giving away one of these towels, friends, for our beloved subscribers. Let's. Oh, I'll get out of here and show you what you can choose. This is the collaboration with Ralph Lauren. Interesting bear. Or a more classic version: Love of the Australian Open and rackets. Write what you like best. We will be giving away these towels especially for you. Competition terms and conditions below. Please subscribe, like the video, and you can win valuable prizes like these. The Arena is behind me. Swiss Sten Wawrinka is playing what could be his final Australian Open match there . And after the end of his match, Diana Schneider will take to the court. Well, let's go watch and cheer. So, which cocktail tastes better at the EU Open or the Austral Open? Let's taste Lemon ICE. Oh, this is my favorite, by the way. Victory. Well, it was a tough first set for Diana Schneider, she was losing 1:5, but ended up losing the set with a score of 2:6. In the end there were positive preconditions. Now, in any case, everything starts from scratch. Her coach Sasha gives her some tips. What's interesting here is that the coaching boxes are located very close to the port. They talked during the break, yes, Sasha Diana. Let's hope that hey there are still hundreds of hints. Good luck. Nothing, nothing, nothing. Got it. Great, great, just super. Clever girl. Super. Oh, lucky me. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Good. The match took on new colours. The second set went to Schneider. Kreichko started to have a little trouble moving , where it started to slow down his pace, but Diana is great. And she began to move towards the ball faster. Vo-perro, as the pulists say, speed up your hands. Yes, everything is so compact, Schneider started doing it quickly. They have excellent communication with the coach. After winning the game, she approached him and they discussed something. In general, well, everything is fine, but she should not relax under any circumstances . It will get even more interesting further on. The decisive moment is ahead. Good, good. Let's. Wow. Well, dear friends, the second day of the game is finally over. And it ended on a positive note with the victory of Diana Schneider. Tomorrow will be even more interesting. We will come back to Melburg Park again and cheer for our ambassador Karen Khachanov.
